Sha Tin NT, Bullring, Museums

Ummm, today was a day of baking me!

The weathers very very crazy! The air temperature in 32C and I know you don’t even have the slight idea on how hot that is cos you just don’t get it anywhere in Europe! Only in Asia I think cos of the tropical humidity!

Nearly dieing, as my friend decided to show me around Sha Tin, ok most of it was alright as it just full of gigantic shopping centres with super needed air-con.
Its like a gigantic bullring, but 8 x bigger as its in the new territories. So got dragged around and lots of window shopping. As just not in the mood to shop! I think queer bitches would love it! (Saiman)

Anyway if was going to the Hong Kong Heritage Museum that was super kool! It had a excellent Design Expo on which actually one of my tutors work was being shown! Very interesting.

All in all a interesting Afternoon, which cooked me and opened my mind a little.

Hong Kong or China?

well today was intersting......

I met up with a friend in Tai Koo, thats about hour away in east of Hong Kong island. It was rather pointless just to pass time. but the place was quite nice very different to central hong kong in my opinion. we had a light luch and a look around then headed for tourist area Jordan!
its so simple when you have a MTR service a quick hop on and your at the other end of Hong Kong in no time at all.

Jordan is more the area i know as its very close to polyU and where we have lunch sometimes. anyway we chilled around there then passed a massarge place, ok ok i didnt want to go firstly cos its expensive and scondly i just wasnt in the mood. but hey if your local friend wants to go what can i say. so we go in and the rest is history. i have to say is wasnt what i expected.

anyway that too us to the everning where we had dinner and called it a day. then it was back to hall for me. Normaly i would walk back from jordan to halls about 30 - 40 min walk but cos the weather is 32C get a cab but today i thought i would get a crazy death ride mini bus bymyself hehe. to my suprice it was very very conveniant and super quick i was in whampo with in 5 mins! compare that to the 40 min walk in the heat. so did some grocerys shopping and back to halls yeahhhh.

ok now time to talk about LOST! its a loser topic but im a fan! what can i do, not my fault it so interesting. just watched ep21 season 3 and i have to say its getting interesting and i have no idea how its going to end! the story was simple about to come to a end but wham they chuck in a twist! its VERY VERY VERY good and i recomend everyone to watch it!

Wild Camping! Mosqutos ARGH!!!!

Well what Friday and Saturday bought with it!

The day started with lack of sleep @ 8am due to just arriving from Macau a few hours before! Its crazy that I agreed to join the wild camp with this lack of sleep as I heard these camps are very tiring ( I find out how true that is later).

I had to do some shopping before going to the wild camp so that took time, the meeting time was 12 o’clock @ PolyU so I was late as usual. Arriving at more like 12.30 I meet up with some of the guys and had lunch then we headed out and got some (A Lot of FOOD) for the camp.

After that we meet up with the rest of the guys, there was Nine of us. The weather was so ridiculously HOT in the regions of 32C. We got the KCR to University station and then got on a ferry heading for our destination TAP MUN.

The hour long boat journey was really nice, the ocean breeze blowing my hair all over the place! We past tons of islands t was so idyllic, its so tropical and quite unbelievable that it was like only a few hours away!

!!WARNING!! All images didn’t turn out well damn colour correction, Sun too bright !!WARNING!!

We finally arrive on the island, it has a small fishing village, it was like so cool and unexpected again! The village had one path through heading to the ‘WILD’ we all had our hiking rucksacks and it was for a reason we stared the journey with a 30min Hike thought the beautiful surroundings, it may sound fantastic but add the 33C temp and 20KG Rucksacks and then the 30mins turns to hrs!

We arrive! To our camping spot! It was amazing truly amazing! Just look at what we could see! Jaw dropping! The colours is so messed I wanna photoshop it now Grrrr.

And way it was really nice, Suddenly the sky turned black within a few muintes, the other new straight away what was about to happened and started to throw everything into the tent that was up! And then everybody jumped into the other two half built tents! Really the tents were only half built and a Storm had arrived!

It was crazy we were battering with mother nature, it was proper tropical rain fall! Like real cat and dogs. But we could’nt hide forever as the tents couldn’t take it and some of us had to go out and finish building the tents! OK you can tell how the rest go’s!

It was a nice night we all gather and relaxed and ate true HK style Chicken Rice with mushrooms and lots of Dim sum’s! it was a nice experience, very rare and appreciated. After the meal we went to wash the dishes, in the pich black wild, so torches out and umbrellas to the ready! It was anther trek n the night in the rain, can you ask for more FUN!

Then we chilled and the next day we woke with the heat of the SUN killing us, again another fest of noodles and sandwiches then relaxing in the sun realizing how FUKING PAIN FULL Mosquito bite can be when you have at least 85!! Massive Bites SO FUCKING PAINFULL SKRATCHY FUCKERS! AWWWWW.

Anyway it was cool, we packed up later, and heading for the village were we had lunch and well needed ICEY drinks.

It was all so peaceful, in a lovely setting. When we were waiting for our ferry the skys turned again and wam bam, it cam down proper! Lucky for us the ferry arrived to collect us! Yeahhhh!!! It was an very new and enjoyable experience camping with these new friends that I have made in this fantastic country, I have enjoyed it and hope it won’t be a last.

!!!!!!Mega Macua Day!!!!!!!!

OH MY HOW DO I START!

It was an amazing day! The weather was fantastic Just over 30C which actually is too hot but hey!

We started the day 6am when there was 2 of us, we head to Tuen Mun to meet the girls then there was 4 of us, we had to hurry to the ferry to maccua due to us being late arrive in tuen mun! so a taxi and a run was in order so funny!

We finally made it on time to get the ferry, it was a nice journey, and it was there we planed the adventure, we soon arrived in China where we got the tour bus to Macua immigration where Disaster struck, T wasn’t allowed across he needed to go to macu directly! Oh No!

So now there was only 3 of us, but we carried on the day as planed and had an amazing adventure!

We started with a famos breakfast, then sightseeing and museums etc its so cool, I loved it! The place is fantastic so unbelievable!

After the sightseeing we headed for the Casinos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Macau is officially the worlds largest gambolling city beating Las Vegas! And indeed it does have crazy ass buildings!

I played Ruoutle and with the chips and stuff but still lost £5 in my first shot, so another attempt was made and lost again! FUCK

So exchanged about £10 for Slot machining, and managed to game some money back!!! Yeahhhhh so total lost came only to £5 YEahhh £15 lost to the casinos not bad I’m my opinion!

After that we went and ate more and more and then headed for the Macau tower! The 10th tallest building in the world!!!!!!

It was so cool like so big we got tickets and headed into the half glass lift and headed up for a gigantic acent! QUITE amazng I must say!

Glass floors and everything so amazing and I had to push the girls to walk the walk lol. It was an experience, then we headed to get some snacks as it was getting late and time to leaveish

At this point we were so tied nearly dying. We headed back to china for a quick shopping trip where I managed to get a design book for like £4 so cheap! As usual it was a little scary being china but iwas with the two girls who wouldn’t let me outer there site so I was safe, Really though there so pretective, I wasn’t even allowed to look and the amazing cool stuff haha!

As it was time to leave we got the ferry and in an hour and a bit we were back to Hong Kong, Tuen Mun where we had a ate night meal and chat. Its was a fab day and very enjoyable!
Thanks Cat and Kerry for showing me Macau!

What has Tuesday bought with it?

Well things were fun yesterday (Tuesday), I met up with a friend Brigid, she took me to her home town Tuen Mun, The journey was amazing recommended in the lonely planet guild book. We pasted nearly all Hong Kong on this 45min journey from Kowloon tip all the way to the north west Tuen Mun.We had a nice lunch in the centre then we headed for our next destination of cultural education.

Brigid took me visited her grandmother who lives in a traditional village house in the Hong Kong hills in Hoh Fuk Tong, it was so so not what I expected to find in Hong Kong. It was very similar to the Living style in south Asia i.e a Bangladeshi village.

Look at the pictures very Syra Miah ennit!

After that experience we headed to Yuen Long, to buy !!wife cake!! I’ve just ate two nice! Explaniation of wife cake:
Once upon a time, there is a poor family. The wife was sold to get money to let his father-in-law to receive medical treatment. The husband lost his wife but he did not give up. He developed a kind of cake with delicious taste so that he can earn enough money to get the wife back. The cake is the 'wife cake' now.
Then we headed to a traditional market were we encountered crazy stuff, i seen so many crazy fish and water animals that I am now very scared of sea food. Its was so fresh everything there was a live and kicking or flying in some cases!!!

After that we head to get some famous dessert that Yuen Long is famous for, it was fun trying to find the place as we weren’t at all familiar with the place.
Then after that we head back to Tuen Mun and looked into the music shops where I decided I want to learn the paino, so I got a book on chords as note reading seems like an impossible task!

Then we called it a day! It was fun and the sun was setting, Thanks Bridgid for a fun day.

The journey home was a sleepy one, but amazing due to it being twilight and passing amazing things.

Whats gonna happen tomorrow I wonder?

Happy Hundredth and Nineteenth Day!!!

Happy Hundredth and Nineteenth Day!!!

I finally managed to count how many days I have been here and I have to say its quite a surprise as for many day I have just been concentration on work and haven’t even been taking any pictures so its been hard to tell how long I have been here,

I cant believe its been 119 days that so long its almost half an entire year, I’ve never in my life been away from home for such a long period and I have to say I’m not missing it much, not saying that home is bad or anything as my home life is amazing with so much to do and so much things to play with.

It just that here there’s a total different environment and the people are very different to people in England people here love to hand and just chill no one ever has to impress all the time so people can just relax and get to know each other well.

As I haven’t been writing here for a long time about my day to day activities I will instead just place a random image from my past few weeks as writing about it would just take ages and it will be boring cos its so past tense!.

Ok so What I did today!

I started the day 0400hrs due to have a massive case of insomnia! Really since all the non stop working routine of HONG KONG, its completely Fuking screwed up my body clock and I am totaly screwed on that side of things! Like if im tired the maximum time I can sleep for is 2 – 3 hrs and that’s an mission in it self!

The weather isn’t helping either as the temperature in like 32C Fuking crazyyyy! After all Hong Kong is in a tropical climate!

Ok so after the insomnia at 1400hr 2pm me and a friend went to visit a temple, it was an intresting experience, I had to take my shoes off and ware a turban type of thing. Quite kool experience, I like new things after all.
Oh I even found a Kool Looking BMX shop, I may visit later!

Then after that intresting experience we headed to admiralty to get the MTR to Mong Kok, which in it self is a day to day experience but very intresting still.

Then we just chill traverling around mong kok, looking at the strange but kool stuff!

And then the girl I was with decided she likes guess!!!!!!! Radio control cars, Helecopters and Guns!!!!

Well because of thins I took her to the crazy nutty side of Mong Kok! Where all the toys live!!!!

The pics explain them selfs,

Basicaly we both crated large list of stuff we wanna buy and in total spent like 2-3hrs I think looking at all the model shops in detail!!!!!!!!!
Wow what an experience and I felt a bit tired at this point lol, can you believe it me tired of looking at Kit cars and Guns and helis! CRAZY ALERT!

So we called it a day at that point and headed back home!

That was the day to day!

I have lots planed this week so read this blog regularly for an interesting read!

Cya all Soon

Final Day of University in HONG KONG

well its final here, i cant belive it, today was the final day of uni and i have to say its been a long and good one.

I started the uni day at oooohrs thats 12am in the morning, and we finished at 7pm so it was a long long day, and manythings were done like watching xmen 3, lost ep 14, War Craft and CDP and Toy reports.

i cant belive how quick it all went its a massive shock to me that 4 months is over and its nealry time to go home.

Im gonna be kicking and screming the day of my flight back, im sure of it.

The positive part of it all is i have a second life here and can easily move here when i'm a little older and have the gults to move out here for good. which is a possibliliy. i need a HK wife though as there so HOT and lots of cash as there and house's are so expensive lol.

Im unsure on what the future may bring but i hope its very nice.

I need to start planning my holidays here now and see what type of things i should get up too, i have manythings i want to do and there are many people to do them with me so i better get on the case.

i have'nt been blogging for a while since i have been burried under with LOADS OF WORK!!

BUT IT's ALL OVER NOW!!!!!!!!!

it makes me sad but i hope that its not the end really but the start of something new.

Life In HONG KONG ROCKS

i wonder what life in JAPAN is like?

anyway will blog ya laters with imags and stuff!

18hr sleep later, LAST DAY OF UNIVERSITY

brb gonna swim first

Monday, May 07, 2007

It’s finally here, The Last day of University!

It’s finally here, The Last day of University!

I thought this day would never come, but its creped up on me very quickly. I feel a massive bag of mixed emotions. I’m not sure what to think, should I be happy that I have had an amazing time in hong kong or should I be sad that I will have to leave it soon.

I have only slept 16 hurs total i the last 8 day!

Its so bad but so reason it was really really FUN and the ultimate stress. Im loving HK life style.

Toy Presentation - It the day the stress should stop

Its the day of the presentation i was looking forward to this day for a very long time as it means that its over and i dont have to stress about it anymore. its been the main course of concern for me over the past few months as the other projects are were going well but toy design has put a very large dent in my working capabilitys and its effected me big time.

Tuesday, May 01, 2007

TOY PRESENTATION IN A FEW HOURS!

Its been a long day the video is still not complete although is very near completion!
It just needs a voice over, I had a digital one but it’s a bit electronic for my liking so I may have to get some person to do it!
All I know is that im frigging so tired it hurts I can barley keep my eyes open and I have so much other work to do!

BAD NEWS ALSO!!!!

The chance of winning the Microsoft competition are next to nothing Wright now, my group and I have been to busy to do anything for the project cos ours group has members of TOY DESIGN class which we have the presentation for in a few hours!
Its so so screwed, cos the MSR presentation is on Monday and we don’t even have a design nor a complete user interface! Let alone a video scenario nor a 15min presentation!

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO WIN!

I don’t really mind it’s the experience that counts I found out one massive thing and its that I LOVE HONG KONG and that’s the main thing that I would like to concentrate on!

I wanna sleep so much! My eyes are falling!

I think I best go check on james and see what he is doing, it’s the model, it needs repainting cos it started to crack! And its in for tomorrow!

I think I am just gonna keep typing till james comes back cos otherwise I have to wait which is a wast of time that I don’t have and I quite enjoy typing. Its nice to do and easy and it looks like im typing out an essay. Which is cool, it also means I can read it in many years too come and I will be amazing at the things I am writing.

This enterys starting to become very long I wonder how it would look on my blog.

What can I do right now? Im in the studio, abount half of the class in here also, its labor day so shops arnt open and its 2am in the morning!

Signing off
